The first time we shot was amazing. She came with a full wardrobe and everything and more for the shoot. I had never had someone come so prepared for a shoot. We had great ideas and concepts and after a few hours of shooting we had fantastic shots. Dolores was confident and straightforward and made it so easy. By the end of the first shoot I was ready to shoot again.
The second shoot took about a year to happen and it was not really planned at all. On a whim I asked her if she had wanted to shoot on a Friday in Long Island at a beach or park. Fortunately she was free in the morning and 2 days later we were at Robert Moses in Long Island shooting. It turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day with one small issue. Apparently we had picked the windiest day of the spring to shoot. Between trying to keep a light standing and hair blowing it was getting iffy. We were there and we were determined to get images. Thankfully we found a guard house a short walk away and it turned out to be a perfect spot. The small shack provided just enough protection from the wind while giving us a little shade. We had new life and proceeded to rock the shoot. Dee never complained once with the wind and the sand all the elements. She absolutely smashed the shoot and the images were stunning. We also decided that we were no longer going to wait around over a year to shoot again.
Only about a month or so later we did our 3rd shoot and once again Dee kicked butt. Wouldn't have expected anything different though. This time was at my studio space and we went for a very clean, simple, natural look. Once again, she was flawless and absolutely brought it on every shot.
Dee, I can not thank you enough for being one of my biggest supporters and for always having a kind word. You are an absolute beauty and an incredibly talented young woman. A beautiful girl with a beautiful soul and a beautiful voice. Thank you for being kind and sweet and for being a great muse. I wish for nothing but the best for you in this life and know it will happen because when you set your mind to something it happens.
The shot below is probably my favorite of Dolores Anne. It was from our beach shoot and it shows her quiet confidence and beauty all in one. The feel on this shot is spot on for me. The way the skirt flows, the hair blowing, the quiet smile, the empty space; it all just works in this shot.
